Dishwater day.

Germany on a drab winter day, washed in a palette of brown, greens and grey. I have a friend who hates January, the way it can drag it's feet and offer little excitement. She feels stuck, suspended between the festive season and a distant spring. For me, it always seems to pass by so quickly, I have more problems with February and it's false promises of warmer days.

The blues.

Brussels is drab today- cold, grey, rainy and I have a case of the good bye blues after seeing off a friend this morning. It is summer somewhere though.
This is Sydney, in all its sunny glory, from our holiday last July- 24 degrees in winter, yup, 24 degrees. I am not making that up.

The Kolonel and me.

We've been to Antwerp quite a bit lately. Visiting kolonel Koffee for a flat white or two is still
my favourite thing to do there.

Between stations

On the train, in motion, homeward bound, suspended in time between Germany and Belgium.
